My name is Alexandria Wagner. I currently direct a web team responsible for implementing improvements in Adobe Experience Manager for a financial company in Las Vegas, Nevada.
I have worked with computers hands-on since 1989 when I was studying psychology at Glendale Community College in Glendale, Arizona. I worked as an Instructional Technology Assistant assisting students with completing their coursework on computers in a lab environment. I specialized in Macintosh computing, assisting graphic design students and learned design by teaching. I worked for several years as a graphic designer in corporate and media.
After taking a break from school to move to Nevada, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with an emphasis in Networking and Telecommunications in May of 2004. I also earned a Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) Associate certification in 2008. I made the decision to complete a graduate-level degree and achieved my Master of Information Systems in 2010. The learning never stops; I take at least one course every year.
I’ve spent 30 years in the technology and communications markets, successfully performing in all types of media including newspapers, magazines, television and the Web, as well as technical support positions. My skills include systems analysis, design and integration, project management, web authoring and management, training, and technical writing. I have experience with multiple operating systems, hardware and software support and systems integration and development.
I have designed, programmed, implemented, and tested several web-based business applications including a Purchase Ordering system, several tangible and intangible products and services tracking systems, and systems that interface with a proprietary database-driven software package. I redesigned a web-based customer order placement system that interfaces with the company’s proprietary database-driven software package and implemented the system on two web sites. I have written technical documentation and provide training for each system I developed.
In my free time I love to play video and tabletop games, watch science fiction and fantasy, make jewelry, and design art posters. I also find the time to read the occasional book and go hiking.
